Baker's Master of Arts in School Leadership (MASL) degree is a 37-hour program that prepares future administrators for the issues and challenges that will confront their schools. During this program, you will acquire the leadership skills, knowledge, and practical experience necessary to become a successful licensed school administrator.

Accelerated Classes
Our Master’s degree programs are designed to work with your existing schedule and lifestyle. Accelerated classes meet one night each week or on Saturday mornings during the school year, and either during the day or in the evening during the summer for 6 or 7 weeks.

Apply and Start Anytime
Our classes are held year round with new classes starting every 6 or 7 weeks. Start a program at any time during the year and take classes at your own pace.

Applicable Courses
Our graduates consistently report that the knowledge gained in class is immediately transferable to their daily professional lives.

Financial Aid
Our graduate programs are approved for federal financial loan programs. Contact Financial Aid for further information.

Faculty
Our instructors are current or former educators who have amassed years of first-hand knowledge and experience. You will learn from knowledgeable veteran instructors who have been affiliated with many different school districts and have held a variety of administrative positions.

Licensure Only Option
If you are a Kansas educatator, have a Master's degree, and at least 3 years of teaching experience, you can complete the additional coursework required to obtain building-level licensure.

Capstone Project - Your capstone project consists of your Directed Field Experience (DFE) and a portfolio.

21 credit hours of core leadership courses
• Foundations of Educational Administration*
*(this course is a prerequisite to all other core leadership courses)
• Organizational Health and Performance
• School Personnel
• Curriculum and Instruction for Administrators
• Student Services, Climate, and Programs

•Legal and Ethical Issues of School Leadership
•School Planning, Operations, and Finances

Admission requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• 2.75 cumulative undergraduate G.P.A.
• Teaching certificate
• Minimum one academic year of professional employment in an accredited K-12 school

What we need from you:
• Completed application form & fee
• Copy of teaching certificate
• Official transcripts from all undergraduate institutions attended
• Official transcript indicating a bachelor’s degree conferred from a regionally accredited institution of higher education with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75
• Two letters of reference from professional colleagues
• Minimum TOEFL scores for international students
